The Iraqi government to find a legal means by which the protection of Iraqi funds deposited in the Development Fund for Iraq of the United Nations after the lifting of immunity by the end of June next.
A member of the Supreme Committee for the Protection of Iraqi funds Hassan Akef told the "Radio Sawa" The ministerial committee is looking for several ways, including depositing money in banks, Italian or British, or American Federal Bank, or banks, Dutch and French.
For his part, the Iraqi Central Bank Consultant Dr. appearance of Mohammed Saleh said that Iraq is seeking to diversify its revenues in order not to offer money to the prosecution.
Saleh added that the amount of real debt of Iraq will not be known only after the expiration of the UN protection.
To that stressed the economic expert Reza Ragheb Blibl the need to provide adequate safeguards for the protection of Iraqi funds.
Iraq had formed a ministerial committee headed by Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs Ruz Nuri Shaways and representatives from the Ministries of Foreign Affairs and Finance, as well as the President of the Office of Financial Supervision and Governor of Central Bank of Iraq to develop a mechanism aimed at maintaining the integrity of the funds of the country of prosecutions.
